Experiential Learning in Pharmacy Curricula
Bachelor of Pharmacy
• Semester-based Experiential Learning – Over 80 hours per semester
• Clerkship – Over 6 weeks in final year of study
• Enrichment Module – Around 200 hours in final year of study
Master of Advanced Pharmacy
• Community and Institutional Partnership Projects
As part of their coursework, students collaborate with community and institutional partners to address real-world issues related to medications use and management. These projects serve as culminating and authentic learning experiences, in which students apply their professional knowledge and practice teamwork, communication and project management skills.
Sample projects include:
• Patient education pamphlets and videos on medications used in palliative care
• Capstone – Practicum (Clinical Practice, Community Health, Pharmaceutical Medicine)
